Mark L. Kammert

Mark Kammert has over 25 years of experience as a private equity investor, business owner and investment banker.
As a Managing Director at Red Diamond Capital, a private equity investment fund with $180 million of committed capital, Mr. Kammert led investments in the medical manufacturing, automotive and flexible packaging industries between 2002 and 2008. Mr. Kammert raised and refinanced senior and second lien debt, mezzanine financing and equity co-investments for a variety of portfolio companies and add-on acquisitions. He also worked actively with portfolio company operating managers to strengthen cash controls, enhance working capital management, consolidate facilities, sell non-strategic assets and reduce overhead costs. In the automotive sector, Mr. Kammert managed a series of complex operating and balance sheet restructurings for a global parts supplier between 2007 and 2009.
From 1996 to 2002, prior to joining Red Diamond Capital, Mr. Kammert was the co-founder and Managing Director of Pedersen Kammert & Co. LLC, a middle market investment banking firm. On behalf of a variety of middle market and multinational Fortune 500 clients, including Union Pacific, Saint-Gobain, Invensys and Thales Group, Mr. Kammert successfully managed divestitures, corporate sales, restructurings and acquisition projects.
From 1983 to 1996, Mr. Kammert worked in the Mergers and Acquisitions, Corporate Buyout, Private Placement and Corporate Finance Groups at Dillon, Read & Co. Inc., a full-service investment banking firm that was subsequently acquired by UBS.
Mr. Kammert received an MBA degree from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business and BA degree in Economics from Yale University.
